Insider On Nintendo Switch Launch Lineup; Skyrim Day One, Xenoblade Within First Six Months & More-November 2024

A well-known gaming reporter has provided details on the Nintendo Switch game launch lineup.

The info comes from Laura Kate Dale, who has been spot on with Nintendo Switch details in the past. Two weeks ago she took to Twitter to share details regarding a Super Smash Bros. port for the Nintendo Switch.

In a new set of Tweets, Dale has now attempted to lay out the Nintendo Switch game lineup following the hybrid’s release this March. The list is based on the info that Dale received on either multiple or single sources.

That is based on the info I've got. Some of it is single sourced but that's how I expect things to go currently.

Some of this info differs from what other Nintnendo Switch leakers have heard, but this is the picture I'm working from currently.

According to Dale, the Nintendo Switch will have a “very heavy” launch year with lots of ports which are aimed to get Nintendo’s new platform moving and encourage third party support for 2018 and onwards.

3D Mario, Mario Rabbits RPG, Splatoon, Skyrim, and Just Dance 2017 are said to be launch games for the Nintendo Switch this March. Within the first six months after the Switch’s release, the above mentioned Super Smash Bros. port will allegedly be released. Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be a summer game, while a demo is said to be in development.

Telltale – Guardians of the Galaxy is said to release very close to the Switch’s launch day in March. In addition, a Xenoblade X port is allegedly slated for a release in summer 2017. Ports for Mario Maker and Mario Kart 8 are also said to launch within the first 6 months after the Switch’s release, and Dale mentions a new title called “The Silver Case” as well.

Somewhere in 2017, we’ll also be seeing a new version of Pokémon Sun and Moon, currently called Pokémon Stars. The title was initially slated for a summer 2017 release, but this might have pushed back to Autumn. Pikmin 4, now called Pikmin Reboot is also said to be released in Autumn 2017.

Beyond Good & Evil is allegedly releasing in 2018, the game will be Switch exclusive and will be semi-reboot.
