It was only a few months ago that GT Interactive was teetering on the edge of bankruptcy. Despite publishing a number of successful titles this year, like Driver and Unreal Tournament, GT managed to find financial troubles that nearly shut the company's doors. France-based Infogrames saw value in GT, however, and announced its plans to invest in the company last month (Nov. 15).
Earlier this morning, Infogrames took the final step in its involvement with GT and announced that it had completed its US$135 million investment in the troubled company. Aside from the increase in cash flow, GT Interactive will also benefit from Infogrames' management queues and restructuring in the hopes that the company will reach profitability again.
