Atari today announced that Indigo Prophecy has finished development and has been sent off to the factory for replication. The game was developed by Quantic Dream, a French company currently working on Omikron 2 for the PlayStation 3. Indigo Prophecy, known in Europe as Fahrenheit, is scheduled for release September 20 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC.

　　In the game, players find themselves controlling different characters caught up in a series of mysterious murders in New York City. The only thing the murders have in common is that they are committed by normal people against total strangers in public places. Upon regaining consciousness with the blood of a stranger on his hands, Lucas Kane finds himself at the center of the investigation and must solve the mystery while outrunning the cops.

　　Quantic Dream seeks to immerse players in Indigo Prophecy by having every decision they make affect the outcome of the story. Multiple camera angles, motion tracking, and a dynamic score help promote a cinematic feel.
