Machine Games' Wolfenstein: The New Order and its sequel Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus breathed life back into a shooter franchise that many had left for dead. Now, following the surprising announcement that the studio is working on a Indiana Jones game published by Bethesda, some have noticed that the developer is hiring roles that suggest that it could be working on a live game with some form of microtransactions.
Those roles listed on the developer's career page are Senior Live Programmer and Monetization & Live Designer. The latter position calls for candidates who can "develop and manage the economy/monetization components to meet player expectations and creative directions," and can "design game features that monetize and re-engage players in a consumer-friendly way." Given that Machine Games has focused explicitly on single-player games in the past--with the co-op focused Wolfenstein: Youngblood drawing significantly worse reviews than the two previous games--these postings indicate a potential shift for the studio.

Now Playing: Machine Games - Official Indiana Jones Game Teaser Trailer
To be clear, we have no idea if these positions are related to the plans for this recently announced Indiana Jones game, or if these roles are intended for a future project that we don't even know about yet. That said, Machine Games and Bethesda previously indicated that they're working on the final game of the re-rebooted Wolfenstein trilogy, though it's unclear what the timeline on that will be.
