Oct 22, 2024 10:48 AM

Today, Ascendant Studios and Electronic Arts announced the availability of the second patch released for Immortals of Aveum.

This update weighs 2.3GB on Steam and reportedly improves various situations where the frame rate would suddenly drop, creating stuttering. It also fixes various bugs and crashes. According to the patch notes, the Xbox Series S also received a slight graphics quality improvement.

However, there is no mention of the DLSS 3 ghosting issue that can only be countered by reverting to an earlier Frame Generation .dll file.

Nathan wasn't exactly thrilled by the experience, as outlined in his review:

If you’re looking for a solid challenge, the latter stages of Immortals of Aveum provide just that, but they can sometimes feel like a grind. The end result is a game that felt a little long, even though its campaign only clocks in at a relatively modest dozen hours. Granted, those who want to collect everything could spend over 20 hours, but the magic may wear off before then for many.
