Will Shen, former lead quest designer for Bethesda's Starfield who worked on other games from the studio, such as Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4, and Fallout 76, joined Something Wicked games to work on the studio's first open-world RPG.
Will Shen is only one of the industry veterans who joined the studio in recent times, as former members of Obsidian and Bioware are also part of the team working on its first open-world RPG called Wyrdsong, as highlighted by the Bethesda veteran himself on LinkedIn.
Excited to announce that I've joined Something Wicked Games! I'll be working alongside an incredible group of roleplaying game developers, and it's amazing to think we have veterans from Bethesda, Obsidian, and Bioware all on one team.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me and my career at Bethesda Game Studios. I've been so lucky to have been a part of titles like Fallout 3, Skyrim, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, and Starfield. We accomplished the impossible together, and I will miss everyone.
With people who contributed to Starfield and some of the most celebrated RPGs ever released, things are shaping up nicely for Wyrdsong. The Preternatural open-world RPG by Something Wicked Games will be set in a fictionalized Portugal during the Middle Ages, where players will be challenged to question their reality and the choices they will make during the adventure. A release window for Wyrdsong has yet to be officially announced.
