Interactive Magic is working on a special forces game of its own, a 3D action/strategy hybrid called Shadow Company.
Among other things Shadow Company will boast a free-floating camera, real-world physics modeling, 3D terrain and mercenaries, and a large arsenal of weapons.
"The quality and definition found in Shadow Company is yet to be seen by any other game in this genre" said Interactive Magic Chairman "Wild Bill" Stealey.
Shadow Company is due to ship in early 1999.
GameSpot News has also been informed that Interactive Magic will also release a boxed version of its Internet World War I flight simulation Dawn of Aces in October - US$30 in free online time, beefed up offline play, and a print manual will be included. Also, a Warbirds server in the UK should be up and running in October, IMagic tells us.
