Maryland-based Bethesda Softworks has announced the development of IHRA Drag Racing, the officially licensed follow-up to the company's Hot Rod Magazine Championship Drag Racing. The game will feature nine IHRA-sanctioned drag tracks and over 50 cars that range from modern to beasts to classic hotrods. Over 70 vehicle components will be fully customizable and upgradeable, and will include fuel injectors, cams, and blowers.
The game is being developed internally at Bethesda, and is slated to ship in May for around US$39.99. For now, you can look at these early renders from the game.
