Online gaming services continue to sprout everywhere, yet not one has discovered the secret to a successful business model. Hence, everyone is trying something different. Engage Games has announced that it wants to join them - as in, join the forces into a single aggregate gaming arena.
Reportedly, Engage believes that online gaming companies need to band together in order to supply game players with what they most want: a single source to play all online games. According to the theory, if all games and gamers were united at a single source, the advertising dollars would follow.
Will this be the online gaming model that succeeds? We'll have to wait to see, as Engage has not revealed with whom it has been in negotiations, but may be making major announcements later this month.
