Charles Martinet, the voice of Super Mario and Luigi in recent video games, has not one, but multiple cameos in The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Some of the characters he plays might be easy to miss, while others have a bit more screen time.
Originally spotted by Eurogamer, Martinet isn't credited as an individual character but is grouped alongside the secondary voice actors in the film. This was confirmed by fans who took a picture of the credits where you can see Martinet's name next to a character named Giuseppe and Mario's dad.
Spoiler warning for those who haven't seen the movie yet.
The first time you'll be able to hear Martinet is at the beginning of the movie. After Mario and Luigi are done watching their commercial for their new plumbing business, the two ask themselves if the voices they did were too much. Shortly after that, a random person (Giuseppe) interrupts them by saying, "Too Much? It's-a perfect! Wahoo!"
Giuseppe then jumps similarly to the Mario we know from the video game series, all while wearing clothes that resemble Mario's iconic red and blue outfit. Martinet can also be heard as the father of Mario and Luigi throughout the film. Unlike Giuseppe, Papa Mario makes a few appearances throughout the film.

It's a spot that might not have worked if the film weren't so well put together--fortunately for us, though, The Super Mario Bros. could end up being one of the best big-budget action flicks of the year."
