HPS Announces New Talent, Games-February 2024

  HPS Simulations, the developer and independent publisher of a number of complex - though graphically wanting - wargames, announced that it has signed three new team members: John Tiller, Joe Amoral, and Lieutenant Colonel Jim Lunsford.

  Tiller and Amoral are well-known veterans with of years of work at Avalon Hill and Talonsoft, Tiller in his programming and design for the Battleground series of games and Age of Sail and Amoral in his first-rate graphics and art.

  Tiller's first game with HPS is called Campaign 1776, The American Revolution, a game similar to Battleground should be out by the end of July. After that, the first in a series of games called Panzer Campaigns – Smolensk '41, is in the final stages of development and will be released by the end of the year.

  Meanwhile, LTC Jim Lunsford, a current active duty instructor at the Command and General Staff College (CGSC), is developing a game called Decisive Action, a battalion/brigade level simulation of modern ground warfare. Already used at the CGSC for instruction, the civilian version is due out in early 2000.
