GameSpot News confirmed with Sega of America that the Dreamcast light gun distributed in Japan will not function with the US version of House of the Dead 2. This was an intentional move by Sega of Japan. "While one of the earlier builds of House of the Dead 2 did allow you to play with the Japanese gun, all recent versions have had that option removed," said one Sega spokesperson.
House of the Dead 2 will release in the US with the Dreamcast on September 9. The game will be supported at release by guns from Mad Catz and Interact.
