After teasing E3 show goers two years in a row, Relic's Homeworld finally gets a firm ship date. In a release issued this afternoon, Sierra Studios stated that the massively 3D RTS will hit store shelves worldwide on September 1.
"Homeworld is finally on the homestretch to be released to market," said Dan Amdur, product manager for Homeworld. "It became clear to us at E3 that coordinating with our North American, European, South American, Asian, and Australian marketing partners is the best way to launch the game because of the game's worldwide appeal."
Even though Homeworld is the first game Relic Entertainment will release as a developer, the response it has received from the public is indicative of a game developed by an industry veteran. Look for it this fall.
