GameSpot Japan reports that Hitachi has officially announced plans to market its simulation ride systems for amusement parks in Japan.
The system's main body is a machine made of carbon fiber in which eight people ride. The interior of the cabin features a video projector and a sound system, and each seat is equipped with a trackball and two buttons.
Input made by riders affects what goes on during the simulation ride so they'll have unique experiences each time they enter. This is the world's first interactive simulation ride ever to be featured as an amusement attraction. Entitled Contraption, the new attraction will be in Namco's amusement park, Wonder Egg 3, in Japan on December 11.
In other news, Hitachi has officially announced that it has entered the arcade market.
