2020 marks the first year since 2012 that we haven't had any Marvel movies, but Marvel is gearing up for an absolutely massive 2021. In addition to WandaVision and Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki will arrive on Disney+ this May.

　　Disney announced the release window for the show today during its investor event, in which we also got our first look at the show:

　　Loki features Tom Hiddleston reprising his role at the titular character, picking up directly where we left him off in Avengers: Endgame. Having escaped with the Tesseract, Loki ends up in the hands of the Time Variance Authority, an organization from the far future that monitors and polices time and the multiverse. Loki works for the TVA to atone for his own time crimes against time and space.

　　The sizzle reel has Loki visiting all kinds of times and spaces in various outfits before, inevitably, both betraying the TVA (presumably) and it going less successfully than he hopes.

　　The trailer also features Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, a high-profile employee of the TVA. Note that he has nothing to do with Morbius the Living Vampire.

　　Loki debuts in May 2021, and consists of six episodes. The show will be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase Four. The TVA is an organization with wide-ranging influence, and they've come in contact with characters like the Fantastic Four, Kang the Conqueror, and She-Hulk, all of whom feature in upcoming MCU movies and shows; they could become a major part of the MCU once Loki has his run-in with them.
