The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is widely regarded as one of the best games of the last generation, and we all know the reason why: the bathtub scene. The iconic scene in which the hero, Geralt of Rivia, relaxes with some suds was imitated in the Netflix series, but fans were left to wonder: What if this game had been released on PS1?
Well wonder no more. YouTuber Anders Lundbjörk remade the classic scene in the PS1 style, from the roaring fire to his gray ponytail to angering Yennifer. It is extremely silly.
Geralt's mouth movements seem a little advanced for the PS1 era, when the likes of Solid Snake would just be static models during voiced cutscenes. But it's a look at how the game could have looked, more-or-less.
The Witcher 3 has been released on Nintendo Switch, with a graphical downgrade in exchange for the ability to take it on the go--albeit not one as severe as this PS1 de-make. It's also still kicking on the new generation, with the Xbox Series X SSD letting you play with no load times during fast travel. Upgrade patches for the new generation are coming as well.
