The copy of Activision's Heavy Gear that you'll find in Wal Mart is a little different than versions of the game you'll find elsewhere: It contains an extra character in the multiplayer part of the game.
That's just one of the promotions Activision is using to tout the recently released title, the company told GameSpot.
In addition to its advertising campaign in gaming magazines and on gaming web sites, Activision's promotional plan includes bundling a Dream Pod 9 mini source book included with the copies of Heavy Gear sold at CompUSA and a coupon for US$25 off the Intergraph Intense 3-D Voodoo video card packaged withversions sold at Electronics Boutique.
