Paradox Interactive has shipped its WWII military real-time strategy title Hearts of Iron II to retail stores. The PC game puts gamers in control of production, research, and economics of one of several countries. Like its predecessor, successfully managing resources, finances, and diplomatic relationships often leads to success on the battlefield. The franchise has come under attack by the Chinese government for "distorting history and damaging China's sovereignty" by touching on topics sensitive to China, such as Taiwan and Tibet. Hearts of Iron II is rated "E" for Everyone and has an SRP of $39.99.
