  Microsoft Game Studios, iGames, and EB Games have today announced that sign-ups for the Halo for Windows Worldwide Championship have officially begun. The global event will pit players from 134 iGames centers across five continents against each other to determine who is the best Halo player on the planet.

  Prizes up for grabs in the tournament include 16 Radeon 9800 Pro graphics cards from ATI and three Alienware Aurora gaming rigs from Alienware and AMD. Also, the top player from North America will get a Gateway 42-inch plasma TV and a Gateway 710G gaming PC.

  The Halo for Windows Worldwide Championship is scheduled to get under way on November 15, with the finals being held in Los Angeles early next year. For more information or to register for the competition, check out the iGames Web site, the EB Games Web site or your local EB Games store.
