Sick of passing out after all that turkey on Thanksgiving? Sierra announced that its highly anticipated action/shooter Half-Life will be released in time for Thanksgiving play. This will keep you wide awake and away from the relatives for sure.

　　On the Web, release dates for the title have bounced from one extreme to another - the constantly changing release dates for the title throughout its development have provided nothing but confusion for gamers. Luckily, after seeing a solid demo of Half-Life: Day One, we're confident that this announcement is the real thing and Half-Life should go gold during the latter half of October.

　　Sierra and Cendant Software brass are becoming increasingly enthusiastic as preorders for the title have grown steadily. "Many of our retail partners are projecting that Half-Life will not only be our company's biggest release, but it will also be the software industry's biggest entertainment title of this holiday season," said Todd Coyle, senior vice president of consumer products for Cendant Software.
