Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has today confirmed that it will release Gran Turismo 4: Prologue Signature Edition in Europe next month. Available in limited numbers for just £24.99 ($43.97), the scaled-down version of GT4 will offer the same features as the Japanese GT4 Prologue that was released last year, but it will also ship with a bonus disc containing a "Making of GT4" movie and a message from creator Kazunori Yamauchi.
"The Gran Turismo series is one of the true success stories of the PlayStation 2, having sold over 35 million copies worldwide since its launch in 1997," said David Reeves, president of SCEE. "We are delighted to be able to offer devoted European fans the chance to play this enhanced Collector's Edition of Prologue as they await the release of GT4 later this year."
The Prologue edition of Gran Turismo 4 features 46 tests to help players improve their driving skills, in addition to 64 different cars to test-drive. Prologue players who successfully complete the tests in the game and save their progress to a memory card will have a head start when the full game arrives in stores later this year.
No North American release for the Prologue version of Gran Turismo 4 has been confirmed at this time.
