Italy-based publisher Lago, best known for its Flight Simulator add-ons, has today announced that it will publish Grand Prix Simulator in Europe later this year. The game, which is being developed by Alassoft and produced by Milestone--most recently responsible for Atari's Apex racing game--will not only allow players to compete in a regular championship season, but will also feature a sophisticated editing suite for creating cars and circuits.

　　"Lago is established in the flight simulation market, but recently we decided to use our know-how and our expertise to expand our range of products," said Luisa Bixio, CEO of Lago. "We believe that Grand Prix Simulator will prove popular with both Formula 1 and racing game fans."

　　Grand Prix Simulator will feature online support for an as-yet-undisclosed number of players simultaneously, and it will also allow players to trade cars and circuits that they've created via a dedicated Web site.
