Dec 22, 2024 3:47 PM

In support of Black Lives Matter, a developer from Vertigo Gaming is giving away free copies of Cook, Serve, Delicious 3 on Steam to those who donate $10 or more to BLM causes.

Developer David Galindo clarified that the free giveaway will go on until either 1,000 keys have been handed out or until the game's sale ends on Tuesday, June 9. To participate, you just need to donate $10 to Black Lives Matter (or a related cause) and send the receipt to Galindo. After he receives and vets the donation, he will then direct message you a free Steam code for Cook, Serve, Delicious 3 on PC.

Today the Cook, Serve, Delicious! franchise is Steam's Daily Deal: https://t.co/9ajlZE2WQ0

The entire franchise is currently on sale, with the bundle--dubbed The Mouth-Watering Trilogy--retailing for $13.57 (64% off) on Steam. If you would prefer to purchase them separately, Cook, Serve, Delicious is 75% off; Cook, Serve, Delicious 2 is also 75% off; and Cook, Serve, Delicious 3 is 25% off.

Cook, Serve, Delicious 3--which is currently in Steam Early Access--will also be available on Nintendo Switch, Windows PC (via GOG), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One later this fall for $20. Further, the game has received a new update that adds 40 new levels, two new food truck attacks, as well as new features and gameplay improvements. Check out Cook, Serve, Delicious 3's Early Access trailer below.

This isn't the only developer to support Black Lives Matter following the unlawful killing of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police. A wide array of game companies, from EA to Square Enix and beyond, are making some sort of contribution to ending racial injustices in America. GameSpot's own Play For All event, which kicked off earlier this month, is also raising money for COVID-19 relief efforts and Black Lives Matter.

Indie game distributor itch.io has released a new PC games bundle that supports BLM and other related organizations. Until June 17, the Black Lives Matter bundle--which includes up to 20 games--will be available to purchase, with all of the proceeds going directly to Black Lives Matter and the National Bail Fund Network.
