The CMP Game Group, organizer of the Game Developers Conference series of industry get-togethers, revealed some details today about its latest expansion, a three-day event in the heart of Russia.
Set for October 18-20, GDC Russia will take place at the Moscow Hotel in Saint Petersburg and will feature a keynote address by Shuji Utsumi, CEO of Q Entertainment. Also appearing in lectures and panels at the event will be Bizarre Creations' Brian Woodhouse and Nick Davies, Introversion marketing and PR rep Vicky Arundel and technical director John Knottenbelt, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe technology group member Igor Makaruks, and Eidos creative director Ian Livingstone.
The conference is split into three different tracks--business, production, and marketing--and will focus on the growing industry in Russia. Some of the topics discussed will include the current landscape of the market and providing information for those interested in investing in or outsourcing work to the area.
