Game Boy camera and printer - already a big success in Japan - get a US release date of June 1. Nintendo says the camera - to be sold in four colors, red, yellow, green, and a new blue - has sold close to 500,000 units in its first three weeks of availability in Japan.
The camera takes and stores up to 30 digital images; trick lenses can flip, stretch, zoom, or split the screen; panorama mode shoots tall and wide formats; and time-lapse mode lets the user take photos continuously or up to 60 minutes apart.
The Game Boy Camera comes bundled with four minigames - Space Fever II, Ball, D. J., and Run! Run! Run!
The camera will sell for US$49.95, and the printer will sell for $59.95. The link cable and additional paper stickers will be sold separately.
