Until 11 a.m. Pacific, gamers who sign up for a free account can file into the 128-team tournament for Insomniac's shooter. With 10 gunners to a side, the Resistance tourney will be played out in assault mode.

　　The Humanity's Last Hope finals will be broadcast live on Tournament TV on November 9 at 4 p.m. Pacific time. To the team that distinguishes itself as Earth's greatest defenders, GameSpot will be awarding a limited-edition Star Wars Battlefront Entertainment pack, which includes both a ceramic white PSP Slim that features the silk-screened visage of Darth Vader and a copy of Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron.

　　The first-place team will also walk away with a $100 gift certificate to SonyStyle.com, as well as an annual GameSpot Total Access subscription, and a Resistance: Fall of Man jacket. Earth's second-greatest defenders will receive copies of Heavenly Sword and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, as well as the Total Access subscription and the Resistance: Fall of Man jacket.
