Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot is in "final negotiations" to play the Evil Queen in Disney's upcoming live-action Snow White movie featuring Rachel Zegler in the title role. According to Deadline's report, Disney executives "always" wanted to have Gadot play the Evil Queen.

　　"Gadot was also intrigued at the opportunity of joining stars like Angelina Jolie and Cate Blanchett, who previously played iconic villains from the Disney vault. After scheduling was worked out, a deal closed this week," the site reported.

　　The new Snow White will reportedly "expand upon the story and music" from the 1938 animated classic. La La Land's Benj Pasek and Justin Paul will write new songs for the movie, which is expected to begin production in 2022.

　　Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer) is directing the new Snow White.

　　As for Gadot, she'll be seen next in Netflix's Red Notice alongside The Rock and Ryan Reynolds. The most expensive movie that Netflix has ever made, Red Notice premieres November 5. Gadot is also lined up to play Cleopatra in a new film from Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins, and she's also coming back to play Wonder Woman again in a third Wonder Woman movie.
