When it was released last year, Full Spectrum Warrior didn't get quite the rapt critical reception many expected. That said, it has proven popular enough for THQ and developer Pandemic Studios to pound out a sequel. Today, the publisher and developer announced they will simultaneously release Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers this "winter" for the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2.
While THQ released no rating or pricing information, it did divulge a few details about its gameplay. "Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers will build on [FSW's] innovation with features such as interior environments, sniper units, player-controlled mechanized vehicles, and a robust multiplayer experience, all while maintaining the authenticity of infantry squad command," said Pandemic Studios CEO Andrew Goldman.
Besides adding sniper units and vehicles, Ten Hammers will also feature 12 all-new levels, where players' units can go inside buildings, as well as new military equipment. THQ also said the game's multiplayer aspects had been enhanced with the addition of "a variety of new head-to-head and co-op objective-based missions." The publisher said further details will be revealed when Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers premieres at E3 on May 18.
