Fox Sports Interactive announced Friday that College Hoops '99 for the Nintendo 64 has started to ship and may hit store shelves as soon as Friday.
Being billed as the first college sports title for the Nintendo 64, as well as the only college basketball video game to be released for the Christmas season, College Hoops 99 features 120 teams, regular season and tournament play with conference and NCAA tournaments, team rivalry mode, fully rendered polygon players with their own individual ratings, and team analysis by Rhode Island head coach Jim Harrick.
"The appetite for both college basketball and the Nintendo 64 console has never been greater," said Jon Richmond, president of Fox Interactive. "We're looking forward to making our Nintendo debut with a fast-paced sports game that combines the excitement and intensity of college basketball with the look and attitude of a Fox Sports broadcast."
The game retails for about US$65.
