Greetings! I'm happy to finally announce the return of forum images, which I know everyone has been anticipating. Your icons, sigs, and other images in posts and such will now show, remote-linked and uploaded both, so bask in the graphical glory that is the wonderful world of images! A few caveats/general notes:
1) If you haven't already, MAKE SURE you've patched your machine against the Windows image exploit. Find the patch and all the pertinent information here: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/ms06-001.mspx
2) One thing that has not yet been restored is remote-linking images in your community profile. We anticipate this functionality to come back up early next week, along with...
3) ...a user toggle for images. Once this goes up, you'll be able to choose between viewing all images (the default option), not viewing external images, and not viewing images at all (think of all the bandwidth you'll save!). Once again, we hope to get this stuff up early next week, so stay tuned.
