Former game designer at Naughty Dog on both The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, Quentin Cobb, has taken to Twitter to announce that he’s now working on a new project at Sony.
On his LinkedIn page, Cobb writes that he has been appointed senior game designer at Sony since this month. Details about this new project are unknown, and when asked at which Sony studio he’s currently working, Cobb replied that this is “secret”.
“Today was my first day as a Sr. Game Designer for Sony today”, he wrote on Twitter. “I can't wait to talk about the project I'm working on and what the future holds. It's good to be back!”
At Naughty Dog, Cobb primarily acted as multiplayer systems designer, but he has also worked on the single-player campaigns of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and The Last Of Us. Following his work at Naughty Dog, Cobb became senior game designer at DayBreak Game Company, formerly a Sony Computer Entertainment subsidiary, to work on combat design for a “new AAA unannounced game”.
