The former president at Konami Europe, Shinji Hirano, has been appointed president at Hideo Kojima’s new studio, Kojima Productions.
According to his Linkedin page, Hirano became president at Kojima’s studio last month. At Kojima Productions, he’s responsible for “managing extremely talented creative teams as one single entity and providing the leadership to make the company successful as one of the greatest creative studios in the world”.
As far as I know, Hirano’s departure for Konami wasn’t publically announced. Prior to his job at Kojima Productions, Hirano was president at both Konami America and Europe. Back in March 2015, he became corporate office at Konami in Tokyo until he apparently left the company a year later.
