Late last year, Third Law, then known as Bloodshot, announced that it had acquired the KISS license, and it would be developing a first-person gorefest using Monolith's Lithtech technology. The company planned to release the game sometime in the year 2000. While making a game based on the '70s-'80s rock group KISS might not be the number-one priority on most developers' To Do list, Third Law (a group of ex-Ion Stormers) seems to be successfully capitalizing on the band's dark and otherworldly look.
In KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child, the player takes on the role of an ordinary human who has to run and gun his way through the game's five realms while collecting artifacts that progressively transform him into one of the four Elders, each of whom represents a member of KISS (Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley). KISS will feature 12 bizarre weapons, three of which, including the Magma Cannon, the Punisher and the Zero Cannon, are depicted in the attached screenshots.
The game is scheduled for release during March of 2000. We'll have a full preview, with more screenshots, as its release date approaches. For now, though, enjoy this assortment of screenshots.
