Takara has released the first screens of Battle Arena Toshinden 4 for the PlayStation. The game takes place 10 years after Battle Arena Toshinden 3, and the main character, Wang, is a pupil of an older and wiser Eiji (who has been a staple character in the series since its beginning).
As demonstrated by these screenshots, the next installment of Toshinden is sporting a whole new look. And according to Takara, the fighting system is completely changed as well. New additions such as cancel moves and air blocks are sure to be welcomed by Toshinden aficionados. There has also been word of a team battle mode in the game.
Developed by Tamsoft, Battle Arena Toshinden 4 is slated for release this August in Japan, at a price of 5800 yen (US$51.00).
