Eidos and SquareSoft have informed GameSpot News that Final Fantasy VII for the PC has gone gold and will be available this coming weekend, due to begin shipping on June 24.
We've even seen a boxed copy floating around here at GameSpot's offices.
The massive RPG is packed into four CD-ROMS and will sell for US$49.99. This is the first SquareSoft title to ever be released for the PC. If you aren't familiar with the high-quality art and gameplay in Square's console titles, you'll want to take a look at the demo we have online.
