FIFA Street: Reviewed
FIFA Street: Reviewed-September 2024
Sep 22, 2024 9:32 PM

I've been playing all three console versions of FIFA Street this week - a game that I've been looking forward to getting my hands on ever since it was announced last year. Given the quality of the recently released NBA Street V3 I had some pretty high hopes for it as well, but I'm sorry to report that, once I got past the fact that many of the trick animations are superb, I found the game to be somewhat disappointing.

FIFA Street looks every bit as cool as its NBA and NFL counterparts when it's doing its thing, but the gameplay proved to be incredibly repetitive, the spectacular tricks are far too easy to perform, and the ball physics (which I know one or two of you are probably already defending in the forums) are nothing short of laughable at times. I won't even get started on the fact that you lose control of players when they're needed to participate in your opponent's 'beat' animations - you can read all about that in my review.

I love soccer, I love the NBA Street games, and I wanted to love FIFA Street, but I just can't. I really hope that EA Sports Big sees fit to continue with the series, though, because I would still love to play a great street soccer game.
