Final Fantasy VII Remake is no doubt one of the best games released in 2020 so far, earning an "essential" 10/10 in GameSpot's Final Fantasy VII Remake review for its superb combat, charming cast, compelling story, and more. With many people stuck inside right now due to the coronavirus pandemic, FFVII Remake's release couldn't have come at a better time for PS4 owners, but production issues surrounding the game's release led to pre-order shipment delays and physical copies selling out quickly when it released on April 10. Since then, it's been near-impossible to find FFVII Remake physical copies in stock at major retailers, but if you've been holding off on buying the game, you're in luck, as some retailers are restocking the game in limited quantities.
GameStop currently has both the physical standard edition and the Deluxe edition in stock for their standard list prices of $60 and $80, respectively. The listings say the game should ship within 24 hours, so you won't have to wait much longer to dive in and start playing.

Now Playing: Final Fantasy VII Remake Video Review
Update: As of 4/27, Walmart, Best Buy, and Target both have the standard edition in stock as well. Walmart's edition comes with an exclusive bonus: three double-sided art cards.
Meanwhile, Amazon restocked the game temporarily, but we've seen availability go in and out just today. As I was writing this story, the Deluxe Edition went out of stock, while the standard edition became available and then sold out again. Amazon's stock, should you land on the page while it's available, isn't shipping until May 28 anyway, so your best bet right now is to snag the standard edition at Walmart and get the retailer bonus, or grab the Deluxe Edition while it's in stock at GameStop.
"Regardless of your history with the original game, Final Fantasy VII Remake is an astounding achievement," wrote editor Tamoor Hussain in his review. "The wait for its release was a long one, but in gameplay, story, characters, and music, it delivers--the wait was worth it. For first-time players, it's an opportunity to understand why Final Fantasy VII is held in such high regard. It's the chance to experience a multifaceted story that grapples with complex subject matter, be in the company of memorable characters, and be moved by their plight. For returning fans, this isn't the Final Fantasy VII your mind remembers, it's the one your heart always knew it to be."
