The enormous popularity of Square's Final Fantasy series has helped push the number of preorders of its latest game, Final Fantasy IX, to over one million, according to reports in Japan. The pre-order campaign was launched on June 1 in Japan, meaning that it took only 20 days to reach that milestone.
Final Fantasy IX for the Sony PlayStation will be released on July 7 in Japan.
