It appears that much of Far Cry Primal's geography has been pulled from Far Cry 4. According to findings reported by Gamepressure, the map in Far Cry Primal replicates the topography of the map in Far Cry 4. A source close to Ubisoft allegedly confirmed to Kotaku that Far Cry Primal developers used Far Cry 4's heightmaps "as a basis for their game." Check out the similarities for yourself in the comparison image below.

Far Cry Primal was released on February 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and March 1 for PC. The game is set in 10,000 BCE and introduces the ability to tame animals, a first in the Far Cry series. A day one patch was released which added a new difficulty setting, as well as other gameplay fixes and tweaks.
The game was recently featured on late night talk show host Conan O'Brien's Clueless Gamer segment, which also guest-starred prominent YouTuber PewdiePie.
We gave Far Cry Primal an eight out of ten in our review, praising the game's cohesive world and creative Beast Master abilities. To see what everyone else thought of the game, check out our review roundup.
