Far Cry Primal, the new entry of the Far Cry series launching soon on consoles and PC, is going to be a brutal game, where players' fight for survival will be made more complicated by the prehistoric creatures roaming the world. We have a pretty good idea on how brutal Far Cry Primal will be thanks to previous promotional material, but today Ubisoft sent us yet another reminder on how gdifficult life can be in the game's world with a brand new trailer.
The new Far Cry Primal trailer mostly focuses on some brutal sequences, but it also shows some interesting gameplay mechanics such as Takkar's giant owl, which can be used to spy on enemies from above, and more. You can check out the trailer right below.
A couple of weeks ago, it's been confirmed that Far Cry Primal won't feature any cooperative mode. Ubisoft confirmed that the team wanted to create a very strong gameplay experience set in the Stone Age without moving too far from what makes the series great, and to do so they had to reinvent the core gameplay loop.
We are focusing entirely on creating the best possible Far Cry experience for our fans. Bringing the Stone Age to life and providing players with a strong gameplay experienced based off of the Far Cry legacy meant that we had to reinvent our core gameplay loop. This was definitely not a small undertaking. Our focus was on delivering this fantasy which required clear priorities for the team. Therefore, in the early stages of the project, we made the difficult choice of focusing our efforts on the single player experience. Looking forward to your thoughts once you get your hands on the game!
Far Cry Primal will be released on February 23rd on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with the PC version coming on March 1st.
