Electronic Arts and DICE today announced that the Battlefield 4 Second Assault expansion will arrive on February 18 first for Battlefield Premium members. It is already available on Xbox One.
The content includes four fan-favorite Battlefield 3 maps "reimagined" using Frostbite 3, including Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm. All Battlefield 4 players can grab the Second Assault DLC two weeks later on March 4.
A Battlefield 4 Premium membership is $50, though you can buy the Second Assault expansion by itself for $15.
Second Assault is the second of five expansion packs for Battlefield 4. It follows China Rising, and is preceded by upcoming releases Naval Strike (late March), Dragon's Teeth (summer), and Final Stand (summer).
Also included with the Second Assault DLC are new weapons, gadgets, and amphibious vehicles. In addition, February is Battlefield 4 Player Appreciation Month, so every day you log into the game you'll receive a free Battlepack. The Player Appreciation Month is an attempt from EA/DICE to make good for the serious server issues that plagued the game at launch, which the company defended recently.
