The next entry in Atlus' Etrian Odyssey series is a remake of the first game, tailored for the 3DS.
The box art cover for the upcoming role-playing game, slated for October 1. The remake will be called Etrian Odyssey Untold: The Millennium Girl and will be out on October 1 for North American markets. The game is an update of the 2007 RPG previously on the DS, and will feature two modes: classic mode and story mode.
The first mode lets players create their own party and play through a series of dungeons filled with all manner of random encounters. The second mode tells the story of main character Fredericka and her companions as they solve the mystery behind her past in the land of Etria. Unlike in the previous game--Etrian Odyssey IV--players can mix and match skills they acquire throughout the game.
RPG fans in North America can preorder the game for $39.99 on Atlus' North American web portal. Check out GameSpot for coverage on the fourth game.
