Robert Carlyle in Trainspotting.
At this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Sierra Entertainment announced that it was publishing a game based on the 20th Century Fox film Eragon. However, it was only today that the company revealed what most had anticipated--the film's cast members will provide the voices and likenesses for their digital counterparts.
Four actors from the film will reprise their big-screen roles in the action game. Newcomer Edward Speleers plays the title character who befriends a dragon and in turn becomes the last in a long line of dragon-riding knights. Sienna Guillory (Resident Evil: Apocalypse), Garrett Hedlund (Troy), and Robert Carlyle (Trainspotting) will also be featured in the game.
Eragon will be released on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Xbox, Game Boy Advance, PlayStation Portable, DS, and PC on November 14, about one month before the film hits theaters. The game is rated T for Teen, except the GBA version, which is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
