Enix's quirky dancing game Bust A Move: Dance Edition came our way with a demo disc featuring footage of three of its upcoming titles. Here's a look at them.
Star Ocean 2The sequel to the SNES title of a few years back, Star Ocean 2 appears to be an RPG along the same general lines as Final Fantasy VII. Though the cast members are 2D sprites, the world they inhibit is made up of 3D rendered environments. Like in FFVII, its fantasy/sci-fi storyline will be furthered through lavish CG sequences. What does it have that's not like any other game? Its unique features include the ability to mix items to create new ones, different gameplay paths depending on which of the two main characters the player chooses, and smaller side quests that break up the linearity of the game.
AstronikaThis curious little title carries Jumping Flash!-style graphics in a game that requires players to raise farms on different planets.
Hello CharlieWhile carrying some really pretty-impressive CG sequences, Hello Charlie's gameplay graphics look incredibly dated, almost CD-I quality. In it, you're an egg who must jump from platform to platform in a grinding gear-filled factory.
No publisher has yet announced intentions to bring these games to the US. Chances are Astronika and Hello Charlie will never make it over here, though we're keeping our fingers crossed for Star Ocean 2.
