GT Interactive and WizardWorks this morning announced the development of Emergency Rescue: Firefighters, the sequel to the companies' original fire and rescue simulator, Firefighters for Life.
Emergency Rescue: Firefighters features 20 distinct emergency scenarios, including four-alarm fires at an oil refinery, a truck terminal, a logging camp, and farms. In addition, the game comes with three training simulators designed to equip players with a plan of action for approaching life-threatening fires.
Our first firefighter title was a genuine sleeper whose success can be attributed, in part, to its unique game-play concept that allowed players to step into the dangerous and unpredictable world of firefighting, says Paul Rinde, senior VP of WizardWorks. With Emergency Rescue: Firefighters, we have ratcheted up that immersive experience and enhanced the game play mix, resulting in a fully enjoyable game for players of any caliber.
Emergency Rescue: Firefighters is expected to release later in April.
