Bold Games, a division of Destineer Publishing, today announced that it will release a new first-person shooter in January 2005. Called Elite Warriors: Vietnam, the PC-only game is in development by New Jersey-based nFusion Interactive, whose previous work includes the Deadly Dozen and the Cabela's hunting games.
In Elite Warriors: Vietnam, soldiers will operate in small groups deep in the Southeast Asian jungle. Top-secret missions include rescuing downed pilots, capturing enemies, and plotting targets for air strikes. Gamers will lead Green Berets and Montagnard tribesmen into Laos across several multiple-objective missions.
The game was developed under the tutelage of Major John L. Plaster, author and decorated Vietnam veteran. "This is the way we actually operated, they got it right," Plaster said. Excerpts and photos from Plaster's book, Secret Commandos, will be included with the game.
Elite Warriors: Vietnam will carry an MSRP of $29.99. GameSpot will have more details on the game as they emerge.
