On its official Web site, EA Sports has announced that it will release titles for both the PlayStation and the Xbox this year. The announcement of PlayStation games comes as no surprise considering the company continued to support the SNES and Sega Genesis long after they were no longer considered viable platforms by other third-party developers. The announcement of Xbox titles solidifies statements made by EA earlier in the year that it would support Microsoft's Xbox this year. No games were announced for Nintendo's GameCube.
