Imperial City introduces "hours" of new gameplay to the fantasy MMO, spanning new areas, quests, enemies, and items. In terms of story, the Imperial City has been overrun by Daedric Prince Molag Bal, and players must fight the new Daedric forces and also each other.
The expansion is included with an ESO Plus Membership or can be purchased separately for $20. For a closer look at some of the new content coming to The Elder Scrolls Online, check out the video above. You can also read this in-depth blog post for everything you need to know about the new expansion.
"The Imperial City is special," creative director Rich Lambert said. "Not only because it's our first DLC, but because it's a huge milestone for us as a studio. We are now able to shift our focus from business model changes and console launch to creating new, meaningful content. It's the first of many new quarterly DLC game packs, and we couldn't be more thrilled."
