Nearly three months after it let slip it was working on a role-playing game for next-generation consoles, Bethesda Softworks has revealed its identity. To no surprise, said game will be the fourth chapter in the developer-publisher's vaunted Elder Scrolls series.
Titled the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the game has been in development since 2002, with a release date to be announced later. Bethesda also did not announce which next-gen consoles Oblivion would appear on, but it did say that it "is another leap forward in role-playing with its combination of free-form gameplay and cutting-edge graphics."
GameSpot will have more details on the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion as they become available.
