Running on a video screen at EA's HQ were scenes from the forthcoming PS2 version of their new F1 franchise. Such was the quality of the screens that the casual observer, including this one, believed it to be a pre-rendered movie. How wrong can you be? The scenes, featuring incredible detail, high frame rate and impressive lighting effects were actually taken from in the game, said EA, direct from the replay playback.
Also touted, but not on show, was the four-player split-screen aspect of the game which EA say maintains the same visual quality. If the release version fulfils the promise of the video this will be an F1 feast for the eyes.
